In an image of the surface of Mars taken by the Curiosity rover, something very strange has been discovered again.
Is this just pareidolia, where natural objects look like certain faces or figures, or is it a rare artifact of ancient Martian culture…?
The photo was taken on January 1, 2000, but it was only recently that “internet researchers” saw what looked like a “head with a round eye” on it.

Especially clearly visible is this head with an eye, a mouth and something like a nose, if you darken the photo a little.
