Many scientists argue that life arrived on Earth on meteorites in the form of microorganisms that then evolved.
Others believe that life on Earth arose in the process of water hitting rocks, which resulted in the formation of chains of amino acids called peptides. There are other, less popular theories.
Dr. Ellis Silver’s book Humans Are Not From Earth: A Scientific Assessment of the Evidence hypothesizes that humans did not co-evolve with other life forms on Earth, but arrived tens or hundreds of thousands of years ago.
The researcher presents arguments based on human physiology.
Silver argues that some of the chronic diseases that plague humanity, such as joint problems, may be a sign that we evolved in a world with less gravity.
The scientist also points to other unique human traits, such as the fact that babies’ heads are large and women have difficulty giving birth.
The scientist says:
“No other species on this planet has this problem.”
Silver points to 223 “extra” genes in humans that no other species has and the lack of a fossil “missing link” connecting a possible human ancestor.
He writes:
“I think a lot of our health problems stem from the simple fact that our internal body clocks have evolved to sense a 25-hour workday, even though there are 24 hours in a day on Earth.”
Silver suggests that human ancestors such as Homo erectus interbred with other species. It suggests several possible origins, including the closest star system to the Sun, Alpha Centauri.
Adds:
“Humanity is supposed to be the most highly evolved species on the planet, yet it is surprisingly ill-adapted to Earth’s environment: damage from sunlight, rejection of naturally occurring raw food, absurdly high rates of chronic disease, and more.
In addition, many people have the prevailing opinion that they do not belong in this place or feel that something is wrong. This suggests, at least to me, that humanity most likely evolved on another planet and may have been brought here as a highly developed species.”
Most scientists agree that life may have originated on Earth on meteorites or comets. This primitive life form then evolved over millions of years to become what we are today.
However, Silver believes that humanity did not evolve from this particular species of life, but evolved elsewhere and was brought to Earth about 60,000 to 200,000 years ago as fully developed Homo sapiens.
